Accompanying the announcement of a fully localised Spanish language version of the game, Blizzard made mention that subscriptions to its World of Warcraft worldwide have surpassed the 6 million mark, with over one million of those being European subscribers who have signed up since the game's launch a year ago. The number gives Azeroth a lifetime population somewhere between Finland and Israel, for those counting at home, easily cementing the game as the most popular MMO in its relatively short history.
For those still enjoying the game, how have your experiences been over the past year? Have your play habits changed, and what aspects have continued to draw you back month after month? And for those that have recently ended your subscription or have yet to subscribe, what's held you back? Let us know what you think via the comments.

Loads of people that play WoW are completely addicted. It's pretty pathetic - sad - actually. I would have thought that most people would be able to find something more productive to do. . I personally do a reasonable bit of gaming - but certainly not to such ridiculous extents - I actually leave my room to go places other than the bathroom or kitchen.
Well if it makes them happy, why not so long as they're not taking it too far... And every now and again do actually 'leave their room to go places other than the bathroom or kitchen.'
