Not sure about the validity of this, but still a good read:

1. Bill Gates earns US$250 every SECOND, that's about US$20 Million a DAY and US$7.8 Billion a YEAR!

2. If he drops a thousand dollars, he won't even
bother to pick it up coz in the 4 second in which he picks it up, he has already earned it back.

3. US's national debt is about 5.62 trillion, if Bill
Gates will pay the debt himself; he will finish it in less then 10 years.

4. He can donate US$15 to everyone on earth but still be left with US$5 Million for his pocket money.

5. Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in the US. If he doesn't drink and eat, and keeps his annual income of US$30 Million up, he'll have to wait for 277 years to become as rich as Bill Gates now.

6. If Bill Gates is a country, he is the 37th richest country on earth, or the 13th biggest company in the US, even bigger than IBM.

7. If Bill Gate's total money is exchanged for US$1 notes, you can make a road from earth to the moon, 14 times back and forth. But you have to make that road non-stop for 1400 years, and use a total of 713 BOEING 747 planes to transport all the money.

8. Bill Gates is 40 this year. If we assume that he still lives for 35 years, he has to spend US$6.78 Million per day to finish his money before he goes to heaven.

9. BUT!!! If Microsoft Windows' users can claim US$1 for every time their computers hang because of Microsoft Windows, Bill Gates will go bankrupt in 3 years!!!

I can't even remember the last time I had a problem with Windows and it was actually caused by Windows. It was always user error.

Just like most cases - PEBKAC.

I don't see why there's a \"But!!\" in front of there. If Bill Gates is able to stave off financial ruin caused by millions of stupid/misinformed people running his product for three years, that's amazing.

Bill Gates rules.

...in a .... good way. *cough*

'Stupid/Misinformed people'?
If that's what a Bill Gates lover calls the average computer user, I'm glad I'm not a M$ fanboy.  <_<

My intent with that thought was to point out that most Windows problems aren't caused by Windows as the statement implied, but rather \"stupid/misinformed people.\"

That might be true, but then why do Macs do fine?
Seems to me that Macs are more for computer-illiterate people then PCs, so there should be more problems.

because they make it so fool proof thats why they dont make any GOOD games for mac. i think people who say windows is stupid are stupid. I usually say: ok then go make something better come back if you can put a Hellow World on the screen without using windows using assembly or binary in atleast a 16 bit compilier if you even know what that means.

They don't. Windows XP's problems either come from online malware (viruses, spyware, adware, etc.) or user error. Mac OS X doesn't allow users much control over the operating system from the GUI, and it doesn't allow many changes at all without an administrator password. Mac OS X also doesn't have to deal with the malware Windows XP does have to deal with for two reasons:

  • It's a more secure operating system (out of the box).

  • It's not the dominant operating system, Windows XP is. Windows XP comprises 96% of all online computers, so malware makers will target the platform which is either easiest to code for or which is most profitable to code for. Windows XP fits the bill in both respects.

If they were allowed the same amount of control in Mac OS X as they are in Windows XP, they would suffer from the same problems. And, to be fair, Macs don't run perfectly. I've had more than my share of horrible experiences with Mac OS X, and in that respect OS X couldn't blame it on malware. My box runs much better than most Macs...

That isn't true. Age of Empires III will no doubt debut on the Mac, UT2004, etc.

I would agree, but Windows PC's have their share of ups and downs, as do Macs. The only difference is... with the Windows PC, the user can tweak and quash away those stupidities, while with the Mac.... you can't (if you can talk Steve Jobs into making the MacBook a competitively priced laptop, then I stand corrected).
