Yes Andurion... you do realise that it is quite easy to lie on the internet; anther thing is that we have false impressions of people, now I can probably guess (if you havent seen a photo of her), that your image of here will be nothing lie what she really is

There are many good girl gamers out there; I mean... just wait till Yuna gets back; she'll tell you... Andurion was intruduced to this forum by her I think

You can't tell much just on the internet. You really can't tell what gender the person is, age, location, job etc. Even photos may be false. You can tell by webcam I guess.

In my own personal experience i dont know any girl gamers.

But i rmember few years ago when i was 16 i went into Gamestop and there was a girl working there. I wanted to ask her about if they had some game. But i was so intimidated by her i just walked out of the shop lol. Dont get me wrong im a hit with the ladies but girl gamers are strange to me lol.

:/
I have different girls working at GameStation

maybe you are just sometimes shy with women...it happens to everyone:P

I think Pink Consoles can single out and intimidate girls, in most other industries it has stopped, take engineering, I mean you dont have a pink digger for a girl? Ok thats extreme, but maybe its because of the sheer immaturity of some of the Gaming Consumers; not offensively, but statistically.

Any Girls here like one?

The videogames industry is continuing to fail women by not producing suitable content, a senior executive at Electronic Arts (EA) has said.

(David Gardner, chief operating officer for EA's worldwide studios, was speaking to a conference in Edinburgh.)

EA's own research found that 40% of teenage girls played video games versus 90% of teenage boys and most girls lost interest in games within a year.

I think it is important to the industry, beacuse "We are only reaching a small proportion - not only geographically but also genetically," said Mr Gardner.

Quote:
"The movie industry doesn't just make films for boys.

"Star wars was the biggest film of all time until Titanic came along; Titanic became the biggest because women went to see it and women went to see it multiple times.

Women do not want 'pink' games said Mr Gardner
"Just boys saw Star Wars multiple times."

Mr Gardner said one of the biggest problems was that the content aimed at women gamers was not appealing.

"They don't want 'pink games'. Thy are not trying to play girly games where Paris Hilton and Britney Spears go shopping and put make-up on.

"Those kind of things have not been that successful."
But he said games such as The Sims and websites such as Pogo.com proved there was a market for women gamers.
"Most of the Sims players are girls - 70% are women under 25," he said.

Summary? Girls don't want Pink, but the Sims proves it is possible, and the Gaming Industry is one of the few if not the only industry left in this state.

He added: "One of the things that is going to make games for girls happen is creative teams. It's going to be new people and experiments. Four of our 11 studios around the world are run by women. That's an important start.

What pisses me off about gaming is the fact that all girls are seen as a sideshow attraction when playing games like CSS and BF2142.

As for the gender confusion: If in doubt "Tits or GTFO"

Two, erm, three now of my fifth last girlfriend where meet trough internet, most precisely while playing an MMORPG, first was on Anarchy Online, second while on Neocron and now sound it will be something with one meet on my current universe.

Dunno how it come but I've period where girl reveal around, usually a band each period

I mean, not one a month, last time, about two month ago, was 5 in a row of two weeks.

Cant say how it come, but basically and since I play RP I don't express myself in the same manner Ill do with guys. there's might be the first point, also I spend more time teamed with Female PC than Male ones, cant say exactly but its always more girl around me that anywhere else close, at last as I may be aware of since most of my contacts both guild / side and extended never tell me about someone with more brilliant result I've got. Quit hard to explain.

Also, I cant explain that best but same seems to be for my messengers, both msn & Icq are used by girl to get in touch with me, last time, 3month ago I've get 12 incoming contacts, 7 from Russia, 3 from Asia, last one was French. I've managed to chat with four of her using webcam and six more with some vocal tool, so it stay no doubt about the peoples.
