Yea i mean i would only not save for a new comp if i was in Yoobers condition if i was a collecter er something like that cause finding upgrades and parts for RDRAM is going to be a MOJOR pain in the buttox<--Censorship:)
and if it was me id use newegg cause i really like them and thats where i get all my partsBTW what do you use Nitrous? So ill help to or me and nitrous can discuss or ya know whatever.
Newegg is the best, but zipzoomfly is pretty good, also. I never used to like them, because they don't have a real good search. But, they do have free shipping on most everything, which sets most of the prices below the egg and tigerdirect.
I have actually never bought from TigerDirect. I know, you shouldn't really judge something without trying it yourself. However, you hear so many bad things about TigerDirect that you know it sucks. Post on any big computer forum. There will be tons coming in with stories about this terrible vendor.
TigerDirect has a horrible reputation when it comes to rebates, in particular. Even searching google will give you tons of users complaining about them.
yah ill probobly end up saving for a new PC, but tell me whats the problem with RDRAM?
RDRAM is expensive as HELL. That's why. And you HAVE to have it paired -- you can't have one 512 MB stick of RDRAM, it simply won't work. You need another 512 MB stick. And a 512 MB stick costs about $329.00.
Yeah... it's pretty retarded. Sad part is, it REALLY is expensive. That's not companies charging out of their butt, it's just that RDRAM modules have a MUCH higher failure rate. Oh well.

That's true. Ya know, I sent a rebate to TD, and don't even know if I got it back. Maybe that's why I thought I didn't have enough rebates coming back at that time.
