there are limits to what mother boards will handle. via like to cut out at a 38 to 40 % over clock.
Yes, I agree. They are preventing from people frying there mobo's. I can't seem to find the DFI LAN party anywhere in Canada. They do have it in New Egg, but they don't deal with us Canadians. <_<

If the motherboards don't perform as they did with review sites than I would call that something like false advertising.
The reason I am looking @ the LanParty is because of the reviews. If there is a problem, then they will probably release a Bios update to resolve it. :)
Yes, like the Uber Bioses out there somewhere on the net. I used one for my nForce 2 Ultra mobo, and it did increase V-Link, Memory & AGP voltage which aided in Overclocking. B)

What ever makes the system Super OCable & fast.

Well, the hacked bios gives you options the original does not. This in turn helps you OC. But doing this is risky. ;)
Well here is an intrtesting point about Intel and AMD. I have 2 computers almost identical in every way. One is a 3500 + Winchester OC @ 2.7 Ghz with zPC 4000 @ PC 4300 a 270x10 FSB with a gigabyte 6800 GT OC to 256 core 1.2 memory.
The other is a 3.75 Ghz P4 E PC 4000 ddr 500 with gigabyte 6800 GT 446 core and 1.8 memory 249x15 FSB.
There is only a small difference in benchmark scores. The AMD scores better on benchmarks by a small margin. But in games the FSB are almost identical. There is very little difference when gaming on P4 or AMD 64. The only 2 things I see that I don?t like on the P4 is it has a very hard time multi tasking and runs very much hotter then the AMD 64.
Keep in mind the AMD system has a higher overclock on the GPU and a far faster CPU.
Interesting isn?t it ?
The only reason I just built this system is my AMD mother board died and I had a P4 CPU and Abit IC7G max 2 mother board left from before I moved to AMD. So I just made another system till I get a new mother board.
The one thing I don?t like about the P4 is the lack of being able to get past a stable 250 to 270 FSB. But even then at these speeds I find it interesting the difference between the 2 systems are really quite small and not overly noticeable.
AMD rocks don?t get me wrong. But I don?t think ill bad mouth P4 so much any more.
But I will still say they are d**n hot.
